The Power of ICSI

Eggschain Team 0

The Power of ICSI, as in “Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection”, is the process of inserting a viable single sperm into the cytoplasm of an egg using a micromanipulated-pipette. This is performed by a skilled embryologist within a high complexity fertility laboratory.

Let’s now view this video presentation that demonstrates the intelligent and precise selection of an individual sperm and the accurate insertion through the egg membrane by the embryologist. This has the ability to initiate high rates of fertilization; an outcome that one may not be able to achieve by any other means depending on characteristics of an individual’s sperm.

Couple this with the skilled placement of the ensuing developing embryo by a physician within the uterus where it can initiate implantation and pregnancy, add a stroke of luck combined with a lot of nurturing from the mother, and we have a baby. (It’s that simple!) ?
